A secluded, relaxing outdoor retreat where luscious greenery fill bespoke Corten planters. Clay Pavers and Grey smooth Sawn Sandstone compliment the Shou Sugi ban charred larch timber clad extension. Modern Scandinavian interior, white walls and polished concrete floors, inspired the paving and off white rendered exterior walls.

This garden challenged my clients, it is a compact space with a significant level change. A renovation has given the property a fresh modern architectural uplift, leaving the garden looking tired, dated and underwhelming. This rear garden design is just 63m2 , and that included the path down the side of the house.
The clients wanted a space to dine, and sit and relax. Materials needed to be natural, honest, and durable. Planting, that was largely absent, was desired in lush volumes, without compromising on usable space.
